The Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (Madeira-ITI) is a not-for-profit innovation institute of the University of Madeira, founded by the University of Madeira, Madeira Tecnopolo and Carnegie Mellon University. The institute was created in December 2009 in order to provide a home for the many collaborations between these partners, in both research and education. The work of the institute mainly concentrates on innovation in the areas of computer science and human-computer interaction.
Design London and Imperial College Business School are engaged in teaching and researching Service Design. We teach designing and innovating services to Imperial College Business School MBA and Masters in Management students, and will soon extend this teaching to design students at the Royal College of Art, and to engineering students across Imperial College London. We also provide executive education to service business such as British Telecom and Vodafone.
The Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE), located at the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, holds the largest university-based design course worldwide. Knowing that many "products" created and commercialized by organizations today are not just physical objects, the IDE Faculty aims at preparing future professionals who can embody innovative ideas into the best possible manifestation, whether the design outcome is a tangible product, a multimedia application, an environment, a brand, a service, or a combination of these.
sedes research is the centre for service design research at the Köln International School of Design. The director of the research centre is Prof. Birgit Mager, who has been professor of service design since 1995, and founded the research centre in 2006.
sedes research is the first international research centre in the service design field. Fundamental research and applied research are both undertaken here. Research should contribute so that services are useful, utilizible, and inspiring.
Lahti University of Applied Sciences operates in city of Lahti which is one of the most innovative and creative region in Finland. LUAS is strongly focusing on operations in fields of innovation, environment and design. 2009 LUAS will plan and product events, research and education in area of service design.
