“Experience Service Design” at Kuopio Academy of Design

From 7th to 9th of September, Kuopio Academy of Design offers the event “Experience Servie Design”, which invites participants to innovate new service concepts and solutions by applying Service Design methods.
Day one will be about Service Design Thinking, getting ready to innovate, listening and tuning the tools, while days two and three are about learning, using the tools and developing new ones. To each workshop, 15 participants will be invited to create service solutions and concepts. Each workshop will receive a SERVICE CHALLENGE that they will be working with.
Presenters include: Professor Birgit Mager from KISD and Associate Professor Nicola Morelli from Aalbog University. Miikka Raulo, Jyväskylä Innovation, Tourism and Leisure Services Steering group, Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation
, Satu Miettinen, Savonia University of Applied Sciences, Kuopio Academy of Design, Professor Raija Komppula, University of Joensuu, Marc Stickdorn MCI and Arne van Oosterom, designthinkers.

Workshops:

1) New mobile service platforms and user interface concepts that increase well-being, tutored by Marc Stickdorn MCI, Mikko Koivisto Taivas and Arne van Oosterom, designthinkers
2) Increasing the accessibility of leisure and tourism environments with technological solutions, tutored by Stefan Moritz, Pauli Verhelä, Savonia University of Applied Sciences and Linda Bogren, Umeå Institute of Design
3) Fusion of experience design and service design - new tools for interactive service experiences, tutored by Lauren Currie, Professor Raija Komppula, University of Joensuu and Sanna Tarssanen, Lapland Centre of Expertise for the Experience Industry
The service challenges are real cases given us by our co-operatives. Each workshop will have 2 design students and 2 tourism students as assistants during the workshop.
