Xavier Jones Lead Service Designer & Strategist

My name is Xavier and I am closer to being a senior around service design, before my practice I focused on finae arts and graphic design where I had developed my creativity and process when it comes to visual communications. Just about 5 -6 years in Service Design, I have grown to have a better connection of how all three can co-exist; so I make sure that the process of the work I do is done thoroughly by research and unorthodox discoveries that lead to social innovations that help push the needle in health and human environment sectors.



To me, service design means...

Service design involves understanding the perspectives of stakeholders (users, organizations, staff, global), their needs, goals, and most importantly, identifying any issues or obstacles they may overlook. In my opinion, services should adhere to the principles of Good Services outlined in Lou Downe's book. Furthermore, the scope of service design can encompass more elements than its current definition. I am currently seeking external tools to improve service design processes, results, and impact.
