Chapter events - United States

This Symposium seeks to raise awareness about trends, challenges and opportunities that face the City’s aging population. Using data, census projections and commentary from experts in the field, the Symposium will focus on the roles individuals, government and industry will play in addressing the future needs of the rapidly growing elderly population. Presented by: Casa Farnese, Inc.

The Farnese Symposium on Aging in Place, a free half-day event for businesses and services that “touch the hands of seniors” and has been exploring trends affecting how individuals age in place since 2006. It returns to Drexel University on Thursday, September 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. to consider how AI Technology can be a catalyst for hope and a danger to healthy aging through talks and engagement. Join us for a peer networking, expert updates and an interactive Design Sprint with an audience, speakers, and Drexel graduate students and professors. It will be a multigenerational look at AI that should illuminate and excite. The design sprint will be a hands-on problem-solving session facilitated by Drexel Faculty and Students. Participants will examine the problem of AI, tech, and healthy aging, using Design Thinking and creative techniques that they will learn on-site and be able to take back to their organizations.
