About the 2018 U.S. Mayors Challenge
The 2018 U.S. Mayors Challenge is a nationwide competition that encourages city leaders to uncover bold, inventive ideas that confront the toughest problems cities face. Thirty-five cities were selected from a pool of more than 320 applications to participate in this program. These Champion Cities went through a six-month prototype development and testing phase, with the support of a coach and grant funding of $100,000 provided by Bloomberg Philanthropies.
